It’s a celebration time for most of Indian families. We wish to forget all our worries, sorrows and difficulties. However , are we half-heartedly enjoying these moments. Another mind keeps on telling us – this is not a true way to enjoy. What makes us feel a bit empty in spite of almost everything being available. Do we feel lets be ignorant about such thoughts to be happy !
Most of the Indian parents who are at 50s and have worked very hard to gain financial stability are today at cross roads. Childhood was a simple world. We did our career in difficult and turbulent business environment. Now exposed to even complex, uncertain world at office, society and mots importantly at home.
Take a simple example. During Diwali; we are supposed to follow certain rituals on every day. One side; we see quite a few follow it thoroughly. Other side; we do a few and don’t follow some. Those which has been followed; we don’t feel the conviction or faith as childhood days. Its not only because we have grown old. Its something else.
Are our faiths, beliefs , values of a simple family person being challenged ?
